Instructions and Master Checklist
This kit is to be completed by the principal author/presenter for each paper submitted.
Preparing Papers
Electronic papers for the Unclassified Technical Program must be prepared following the Preparing Unclassified Papers guidelines.
Presentation charts should be prepared using the MILCOM 2008 Power Point Template and must be uploaded by logging into the Forms Login page (NOT WAMS).
The Speakers Guidelines provide useful tips to enhance the effectiveness of your presentation.
Submitting Papers
Papers for the Unclassified program are submitted through WAMS. Once your abstract is submitted through WAMS, you will be given a WAMS Paper ID# which you will need in order to complete the required forms. All Required forms must be completed before the draft or final camera ready paper can be uploaded to WAMS.
Instructions for Completing the Required Forms for the Unclassified Technical Program
Step One
Login
Logging in will allow the MILCOM 2008 committee to keep track of your forms submissions and will give you a real-time report on your required forms completion process.
Step Two
Complete the Required Forms
To view what information is needed for each form, click the form sample below. NOTE: THESE ARE SAMPLE FORMS ONLY. TO COMPLETE THE ACTUAL FORM, PLEASE LOGIN FOR THE TECHNICAL PAPER FORM SUBMISSION PROCESS.
- Form B - Approval Endorsements Form Sample (required for both draft and FINAL camera ready papers)
- Form A - IEEE Copyright Form Sample (required for final camera ready papers)
- Form C - Speakers RSVP Form Sample (required)
- Form D - Over-length Paper Form Sample (applicable for Final camera ready papers over 7 pages)
- Form E - Student Travel Support Form Sample (if applicable)
- Form G - Biography Form Sample (required)
Step Three
Register with the MILCOM 2008 Conference
As a requirement, the author/presenter must be registered for the MILCOM 2008 conference in order to present your paper and have your paper published in the MILCOM 2008 Unclassified Proceedings.
NOTE: Registering for the conference is required to finalize your presentation. Logging in to the technical program area is not a registration for the conference.
