- Media are invited to
attend the MILCOM 2003 unclassified program and the
exhibits as guests of the sponsoring organization. A
press room and publicity coordinators will be available.
Media are not provided access to any MILCOM
classified program activity.
- To expedite the
registration process, media representatives and
freelancers are strongly encouraged to pre-register.
Please do so by contacting AFCEA’s Tobey Jackson by
telephone (703-631-6189), or e-mail (tjackson@afcea.org).
Upon arrival, please report to the registration desk,
present valid credentials (photo ID, business card,
Congressional Gallery Pass, Pentagon Press Pass or the
equivalent), and ask to be connected with a MILCOM 2003
publicity coordinator. If on assignment for another
publication, freelancing or researching, please bring an
explanatory letter from the publication's editor (again,
to ease the process, the letter may be sent to Tobey in
advance). To avoid confusion, the MILCOM 2003 publicity
staff will provide escort service to photographers and
videographers. Please remember that entry is permitted
only with proper credentials, and further validation may
be required if considered necessary.
- Keynote Sessions:
Those wishing to attend should advise the publicity
coordinator so that proper arrangements can be made, and
proper protocol followed.
- Panels/Tutorials: All
unclassified panels/tutorials are open to the media and
may be recorded, as long as the proceedings are not
disturbed. Interviews may be conducted subsequent to the
sessions, at the discretion of the panelists.
- Soliciting or
accepting orders for any product or service, including
advertising space, in the exhibit hall or any other part
of the MILCOM area is prohibited. Distribution of your
organization's publications or other promotional material
is also prohibited.
- MILCOM 2003 reserves
the right to refuse or revoke media credentials at its
discretion.
