Unclassified Program – Session Presentations

Once again, thank you for your outstanding contribution to MILCOM 2004. This email addresses several items relevant to the presentation of your work at the conference. Each is important to the successful operation of the technical sessions and to the success of your individual presentation. So I ask that you read each of the items carefully.

I. Length of your presentation

III. Advance submission of your presentation
IV. Your attendance at the speaker’s breakfast

I. Length of your presentation

Your presentation will be limited to no more than 20 minutes in duration. A 25-minute time slot is allocated for each paper, and that time slot must include time for both questions and answers and the transition to the next speaker. The 20-minute limit on each presentation will be enforced by the session moderators.

II. Format of your presentation

The conference will provide support for presentations in either of two file formats, PowerPoint (.ppt) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), where the files should be compatible for use with Microsoft Office running under Windows XP.

III. Advance submission of your presentation

As a courtesy to speakers, we will allow advance submission of presentations through Friday, October 15, 2004. If you submit your presentation by October 15, we will pre-install it on the laptop that will be used for presentations in your session.

IV. Your attendance at the speaker’s breakfast

You are strongly encouraged to attend the speaker’s breakfast on the morning on your presentation. The breakfast will be held each morning from 6:45am-8:15am. The breakfast provides a unique opportunity for you to touch base with your session chair, coordinate with him or her on any last-minute issues that arise, and learn of any program changes that affect your session (such as a change of room for the session). For anyone who does not submit their presentation in advance, the breakfast will also provide the best opportunity the coordinate with the session chair concerning installation of the presentation on the laptop used for the session.

Program information is available on the MILCOM Web site at
