Author Update - 10.5.04 Unclassified Program – Session Presentations Once again, thank you for your outstanding contribution to MILCOM 2004. This email addresses several items relevant to the presentation of your work at the conference. Each is important to the successful operation of the technical sessions and to the success of your individual presentation. So I ask that you read each of the items carefully. I.
Length of your presentation I. Length of your presentation Your presentation will be limited to no more than 20 minutes in duration. A 25-minute time slot is allocated for each paper, and that time slot must include time for both questions and answers and the transition to the next speaker. The 20-minute limit on each presentation will be enforced by the session moderators. II. Format of your presentation The conference will provide support for presentations in either of two file formats, PowerPoint (.ppt) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), where the files should be compatible for use with Microsoft Office running under Windows XP. III. Advance submission of your presentation As a courtesy to speakers, we will allow advance submission of presentations through Friday, October 15, 2004. If you are able to prepare your presentation in time, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. You may send the presentation by email or postal mail. Please use the following format in the email if your paper number is XXX (your paper number). 1. Subject line: MILCOM presentation for paper XXX (your paper number) 2. Attach the .ppt or .pdf file with the file name “XXX.ppt” or “XXX.pdf” as appropriate 3. Email to “MILCOM.2004.conference@lmco.com”. Please use the following procedure if you send your presentation by postal. 1. Prepare a CD containing only one file (your presentation) with the file name “XXX.ppt” or “XXX.pdf” as appropriate. 2. Mail the CD to: Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, 3. CDs sent by postal mail must be received by October 15. If you submit your presentation by October 15, we will pre-install it on the laptop that will be used for presentations in your session. IV. Your attendance at the speaker’s breakfast
You are strongly encouraged to attend the speaker’s breakfast on the morning on your presentation. The breakfast will be held each morning from 6:45am-8:15am. The breakfast provides a unique opportunity for you to touch base with your session chair, coordinate with him or her on any last-minute issues that arise, and learn of any program changes that affect your session (such as a change of room for the session). For anyone who does not submit their presentation in advance, the breakfast will also provide the best opportunity the coordinate with the session chair concerning installation of the presentation on the laptop used for the session.

Please upload your unclassified final papers to WAMS. Please fax your release forms to 408-742-8791. Please also note that proceedings publication deadlines are approaching. We must have your paper and forms for your paper to be included in the proceedings. Thank you. Author Update - 8.23.04 We want to thank all of the authors who submitted draft papers for review. For all accepted authors, please remember to submit your completed public release forms and all required forms no later than August 27. Forms can be sent by fax to 408-742-8791. Author Update - 7.1.04 Thanks to all of the authors for their paper submissions. We have received over 600 papers, and over 450 public release forms. The public release forms are required for any paper to be reviewed for selection into the MILCOM 2004 Technical Program. A best effort will be made to obtain reviews for papers with public release forms received after July 1. We cannot guarantee review or consideration for acceptance of any papers that lack the proper public release submissions as of June 30. Forms for the following authors are awaiting corrections. Author Update - 6.14.04 Classified Program Authors - Forms H and I of the Supplemental Authors Kit (Classified Program) have been modified. If authors have not started the public release process, please be sure to use the appropriate updated form which is included in the Supplemental Authors Kit located at the following link: http://www.milcom.org/author.htm . If authors have started the public release process, the authors and the releasing official should be aware of the Foreign Disclosure Restrictions which are now included in Forms H and I of the updated kit. All authors in the classified program should use the new forms with the submission of their final paper. Forms H (U.S. Authors, except U.S. Government Employees), I (U.S. Government Employee Authors), and J (International Authors) have now been included. Form L (International Visitor Application for Classified Program Attendance) has been revised. Due dates have been updated. If you are submitting a paper to the Classified Program, please be sure to download this updated version.
