| Use of high altitude burst (HAB) detection capabilities to control configuration and utilization of survivable satellite communications systems supporting the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). HAB detection enables the automated instantaneous reconfiguration of the BMDS survivable satellite communications networks on a geographic wide basis. The capability to automatically reconfigure the BMDS survivable satellite communications facilitates conservation and reallocation of satellite resources to other potential users on a day-to-day basis. |
