Abstract—In this paper, we present a performance analytical analysis of an arbitrary Space Time Block Coded system over frequency selective Rician fading channels. The close form of the pairwise error probability (PEP) is derived for arbitrary Space Time Block Code (STBC) systems in the Single Carrier (SC) scenario and the approximation of a bit error probability (BEP) is then obtained by using the union bound. We also analyze the performance of coded systems, in which the STBC is concatenated with channel codes. Analytical results are presented for many different types of channels and the simulation results are also given to verify the analytical performance. It is shown that the theoretical results and the simulation results are identical for all SNRs.
