| This session will cover various techniques to provide Quality of Service for Ad Hoc Networks. These techniques go beyond routing algorithms and consider hardware aspects too. Topics include guaranteed bandwidth for IEEE 802.11e networks, a new mobility and energy aware clustering algorithm for constructing stable MANETs, exploitation of directional antennas, topology control, joint rate and relay adaptation in 802.11 ad hoc networks with geographic routing, a simple and robust multiple access protocol for ad hoc networks, and an integrated approach that combines geographic routing and medium access control that exploits the knowledge of node positions in order to achieve energy-efficient data forwarding. | |
