This session presents papers on Department of Defense (DoD) communications programs contributing to the development of Transformational Communications (TC) systems, such as JTRS, TSAT, and MUOS. We welcome papers on concepts and/or technologies applicable to TC system(s). We also welcome papers presenting systems interoperability and/or enabling capabilities in Transformational Communications Architecture (TCA), i.e. system of systems.

LTC David Stroud is Branch Chief, Future Satellite Communications Branch, USSTRATCOM J843. LTC Stroud was on assignments in Kuwait/Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and has worked SATCOM programs at HQ Air Force Space Command, Joint Staff J6, and the Office of the National Security Space Architect. His undergraduate degree is from Western Maryland College and graduate degree from Webster University. Ms. Phong Tran is a Senior Systems Engineer from SAIC. She has over 20 years experience in SATCOM including TSAT, AEHF, Milstar, MUOS, UHF DAMA, SCT, and Ku-band commercial systems; and terminal/radio systems. She has supported SPAWAR Systems Center San Diego and USSTRATCOM over 15 years as software engineer, systems engineer, technical lead, Integrated Product Team lead, and Test Director assistant. Ms. Tran holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Master in Educational Psychology from University of Texas at El Paso.
