This session focuses on design and process oriented issued related to the Software Define Radio. Relevant papers study digital signal processing and its implementation in DSPs and FPGAs. The session also covers issues related to the middleware and software design and also control process definitions.

Tony Moldovan received his M.S. from the University of Bucharest Romania and Ph.D. degree from University of Pittsburgh. He is currently Senior Scientist and Program Manager at Cubic Defense Applications. Before joining Cubic, he worked for Hughes Space and Communications. His research interests include the areas of wireless radio communications, digital signal processing, free-space optical communications, joint source and channel coding, ASIC/FPGA design. He holds over 35 publications and patents. He is also actively involved with technology conference organization and paper reviews.
