This session covers VoIP architecture, security, testing/evaluation, performance, management, and migration. This session is particularly interested in novel ideas and technologies to address DoD VoIP issues such as protocol, modeling & simulation, codec design, QoS, multi-media collaboration, VoIP cross-technology inter-working. Any VoIP technical and implementation issues in the context of GIG are also invited.

Jay Yoo received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. He is currently a Senior Professional Staff at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics laboratory. He worked for Bell Laboratories and AT&T Labs as a Principal Technical Staff Member in Network Architecture Area. His research interests include the areas of Optical and Wireless Networking and Network Management. He is a senior member of IEEE. Darwen Rau received his Ph.D. of Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN. He is currently a consultant to AT&T. He has previously worked for AT&T/Lucent Technologies and John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a distinguished member of technical staff and a supervisor, respectively. His research interests include Optical Networking, IP Networking, MPLS VPN and VoIP.
