MILCOM 2008 is soliciting unclassified and classified papers, up to DoD Secret, relevant to communications and information processing systems technologies and capabilities that Assure Mission Success by addressing the 21st century challenges of national defense, homeland security and disaster response. Industry, academic and government organizations from the U.S. and countries worldwide are encouraged to participate.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
Unclassified Technical Program Submission Process
The Web-based Abstract Management System (WAMS) is used to submit unclassified abstracts, full papers, and final camera ready papers. The abstract must NOT contain ITAR-related, classified or proprietary information. The Unclassified Author's Kit provides instructions to authors for preparation of the draft and final manuscripts and the required forms. The Unclassified Author's Kit, including the Forms login, will be available no later than 14 April 2008.
Classified Technical Program Submission Process
To attend or participate in the Classified Technical Program one must possess a current Secret personnel security clearance and be a U.S. citizen. Non-U.S. originated papers will NOT be accepted for the Classified Technical Program. Please submit a title and a brief unclassified abstract (up to 2,000 characters) of your intended paper via e-mail to Program Chair, Roy A. Axford, Jr., Ph.D.. Each submission requires author name, affiliation, citizenship, address, phone and fax numbers, e-mail address, and the applicable area. Indicate the point of contact for papers with multiple authors. DO NOT use WAMS to submit abstracts, draft papers, or the final papers for the Classified Technical Program. All papers for the Classified Technical Program must be prepared following the instructions and formatting guidelines in the Classified Authors Kit. The Classified Author's Kit, including the Forms login, will be available no later than 14 April 2008.
PROPOSALS
Tutorials
MILCOM 2008 solicits proposals for unclassified half-day tutorials on state-of-the-art communications, networking, and other technologies that assure mission success. Tutorial proposals should include a brief outline of the tutorial, instructor biography, and relevant instructor experience. The Unclassified Tutorials Kit provides the applicable forms and the formatting guidelines for the tutorial material.
